Keith Allred Speaks to Bonneville Democrats

Bonneville County Democrats were lucky to have an up-close and personal introduction to the Democratic candidate for governor; Keith Allred at January's meeting of Pancakes and Politics. The standing-room-only crowd was overwhelmingly impressed and energized by Keith and his exciting vision for Idaho.

Keith stresses that he’s in this race because, now more than ever, Idaho needs a leader with a positive vision of our future.

Keith spoke about his love for Idaho and his strong roots here. He vividly described his Idaho boyhood and his experience helping to manage his grandfather’s cattle ranch during his teenage years. He explained how his Ph.D. in organizational behavior and social psychology at UCLA gave him the background that allowed him to follow his passion of bringing people together to work for positive change. Keith described the bipartisan, non-profit organization he founded, The Common Interest.
The Common Interest, a diverse group of 1,500 Idahoans, made up of Democrats, Independents and Republicans. They have amassed an amazing record of legislative successes by focusing on common sense solutions rather than special interests.

Keith eloquently answered questions about his values and his vision. He plans to champion for Idaho the things that are important to us including education, public television and preservation of our natural resources.

The Allred campaign is planning to be active right here in Bonneville County. They plan to open a campaign office here sometime this summer. Keith is planning to both ride his horse in our 4th-of-July parade and speak at the Truman Banquet in May.

Keith Allred is the most exciting thing to happen to Idaho politics in a long, long time. His campaign will need every ounce of enthusiasm and support that we can muster. It is imperative that we come together and rescue Idaho from the bleak agenda of Butch Otter. I truly believe that we will elect Keith Allred as the next governor of Idaho.
